The SF-01 was created for the **[Styleforum](https://www.styleforum.net/threads/the-styleforum-x-archibald-sneaker-gmto.650025/page-42)** community by its members. The first release, though an overwhelming success wasn't perfect and we didn't quite reach our aim of creating the world's best minimalist sneaker. Incorporating feedback from the forum community, rectifying design flaws, improving materials and addressing everything discovered by Rose Anvil in his first video - you can say the subsequent version, the v2 was entirely a team effort - and with it's release and outstanding feedback, we thought we had done it.
Fast forward a few months, a discovery of dishonesty from the shoemaker on other products being delivered as well as a second video review by Rose Anvil himself identifying two additional areas for improvement - a full-grain leather floorboard (instead of split leather) and improved lining leather and we decided it was time for the v3.
The SF-01 v3 is made in Corridonia, Italy and therefore we have not only all the learnings from the original maker, the community, the two releases, and the two videos by Rose Anvil but also additional input from the lovely family responsible for our GAT sneakers. We have amended the silhouette slightly to provide a more snug and captured fit on the heel. The SF-01 v3 marries a sleek and contemporary silhouette with centuries of inherited artistry. With uppers crafted from a selection of the finest leathers, each hand-cut and stitched before being stitched to a springy Margom sole with an all leather floorboard.
**The SF-01 v3 in Kangaroo Leather** offers something very different with the incredibly soft yet strong K-leather. Kangaroo leather is known for its incredible durability and resistance as well as the extreme comfort it offers. This one is difficult to describe, it's just different.
