In black, the cashmere-silk blend takes on a deeper, richer character — the dark tone drawing out the velvety nap of the fibres and lending the scarf a quiet authority that works just as well over a suit as it does with a weekend coat. This scarf is woven by a family-run workshop in Biella, Piedmont — Italy's textile heartland, where they have been producing the finest knitwear for close to three centuries. Using the finest cashmere fibres sourced from the undercoats of Mongolian Hircus goats blended with silk, the result is a 49% cashmere, 51% silk composition offering cosy warmth with a distinct velvety feel. It is lighter than a pure cashmere scarf and drapes more fluidly — the silk does that. Finished with hand-worked teasles. Measures 170 cm x 35 cm. Ships to Australia.

Due to the dramatic fluctuation in temperatures on the vast plains of Mongolia, Hircus goats have developed a beautiful, downy under-fleece. Every spring, only about 250 grams of this fleece is obtained from each animal and once the coarser, shorter fibres are filtered through, less than 100 grams of the beautiful long and thin Grade A fibre remains.
A $3,000 Men’s Scarf for $575? A New Kind of Bargain

The Italians are easily offended when it comes to the conversation about who makes the best Cashmere in the world. It has often been an up and down battle with the Scots for top spot, however when the conversation comes to the blended items... there really is only the one winner. It comes down to their ability to not only pick out the finest fibers but recognize the relationship between the two during the weaving the process. Made to last… it will hold together and not shed or pile easily… and will keep you warm and 'silky' through chilly moments for years to come.

How it all fits in with the others... let's break a wall here!
The next time you pay for a label, we invite you to quite literally think again. Sorry for Retailers and Stalwarts of luxury, it is no longer a secret!
