The SF-01 was created by the **[Styleforum](https://www.styleforum.net/threads/the-styleforum-x-archibald-sneaker-gmto.650025/page-42)** community. The first release, though an overwhelming success, wasn't perfect — we didn't quite reach our aim of creating the world's best minimalist sneaker. Feedback from the forum, design flaw rectification, material improvements, and everything discovered by Rose Anvil in his first video all went into the v2 — entirely a team effort. With its release and outstanding feedback, we thought we had done it.
Months later, a discovery of dishonesty from the shoemaker on other products, combined with a second Rose Anvil video review identifying two further areas for improvement — a full-grain leather floorboard (instead of split leather) and improved lining leather — meant it was time for the v3.
The SF-01 v3 is made in Corridonia, Italy, incorporating all learnings from the original maker, the community, two releases, two Rose Anvil videos, and additional input from the family responsible for our GAT sneakers. The silhouette has been amended slightly for a more snug, captured heel fit. The SF-01 v3 marries a sleek, contemporary silhouette with centuries of inherited artistry — uppers crafted from the finest leathers, hand-cut and stitched to a springy Margom sole with an all leather floorboard.
**The SF-01 v3 in Suede** has an upper created from an incredible, purpose-found Italian calf suede that is generally reserved for dress shoes. The leather is hand-cut and stitched to form the ultimate classic suede sneakers. Available for delivery to Australia.
