The SF-01 is created for the **[Styleforum](https://www.styleforum.net/threads/the-styleforum-x-archibald-sneaker-gmto.650025/page-42)** community by its members, marrying a sleek and contemporary silhouette with centuries of inherited artistry. It is crafted from hand-cut, full-grain calfskin in our Mirandolese workshop and stitched to a springy margom sole. Available in sand, all-white or all-black, these will quickly become everyday go-to’s you’ll find yourself reaching for time and again. A tan calfskin inner and a lightly padded tongue provide added comfort.
The SF-01 v1 is now discontinued due to a design flaw that was eventually labelled as tongue-gate [(see Rose Anvil review in depth)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfEqq7hG450) for a revised, improved version that addresses any flaws in this iteration. Given the shoe has received such overwhelming praise despite this, we are selling the remaining pieces at a discounted price.
##Handcrafted in Italy
Finding the right craftsmen to work with on our footwear wasn’t an overnight process. After a thorough search that took us from Northampton in England to various Italian makers, we knew we had found the right workshop when we got to Mirandola in the Emilia Romagna region. Here, a dedicated father and son team make what are the finest shoes we have come across. We have requested no compromises are made and where others ask for a quick turnaround, we have done just the opposite. Our range of sneakers is the ultimate combination of contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship; only the finest calfskin traditionally reserved for the best men's dress shoes or the highest grade of kangaroo leather is used for the upper, and finger-stitched to springy rubber soles. Comfort, class and durability. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
