What it is
A Riri fastening is treated as a precision object. The Swiss maker has spent since 1936 turning the zip — the humblest part of a garment — into a mark of quality, under the idea of "excellence in details." On a jacket or a bag, the zip is the one moving part and the place where quality is most exposed; a Riri zip is engineered to outlast everything around it.
Why we chose it
Riri's quality comes from engineering as much as finish — the first die-cast nylon zip (1950), the waterproof Storm (Swiss Technology Award, 2004), and the first stainless-steel zip (2018). It makes its hardware end to end, controlled to one standard through the vertically integrated Riri Group (including Cobrax). Now part of the Oerlikon Group and made to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, it is the reference luxury houses turn to.
We use Riri hardware on all our jackets and across the rest of our large leather goods, wherever a fastening has to be flawless and last as long as the piece.
