Cariaggi Cashmere

Cashmere is the fine, soft undercoat fibre combed from the Capra hircus laniger goat once a year, every spring. It is grown naturally, then harvested by hand and turned into a fine, insulating fibre from goats living in regions with extreme temperature swings.

Cariaggi sources exceptionally fine cashmere fibre, often from Mongolian and Inner Mongolian herds. Cariaggi has over 60 years of experience in processing cashmere through combing, de-hairing, carding, and spinning, and is globally recognized for its quality and consistency. They specialize in cashmere spinning traditions, focusing on precise fibre alignment, careful control of hairiness and pilling, and high yardage per weight, resulting in lightweight, luxurious fabrics.

We chose it for that combination of fineness, consistency, and color depth. Cariaggi maintains hundreds of cashmere shades and excels at stock-dyed mélange blending, giving our knitwear a refined hand that holds up over time.
