Lactae Hevea Soles

Lactae Hevea is a natural latex made from the milk of Hevea brasiliensis, the rubber tree, with a distinctive alveolar (microcellular) structure that gives a spongy, springy, "alive underfoot" feel. The virgin hevea milk is sustainably tapped from rubber trees in Asia without harming the forests, then poured, cured and finished in a labour-intensive, slow process — craftsmanship recognised by France's Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label.

The alveolar structure delivers natural cushioning and rebound, with cited energy return above 80% and elasticity that stays resilient over time rather than packing down like many foams; it also resists stiffening in cold and extreme weather. Soles flex smoothly with the foot, reducing the "slap" of dead rubber and making long days easier, while the porous material breathes and stays comfortable for all-day wear.

We use it where comfort and a natural, springy ride matter — casual and travel footwear especially — and where a natural, sustainable material is part of the point.
