In this small town sits a family run operation that has, for just short of three centuries, been producing the finest knitwear in Italy. There has been a long standing debate in the world of luxury about which country of the two titans of knitwear, Italy or Scotland, is truly the best. Truthfully, it depends on the product. Where the Scottish may triumph in heavy knits, the Italian masters trump them with blends and lightweight stitches. Whatever the case, with over 10 generations of the highest class of artisans at the helm, who boast an order book of clients that are some of the most sought after luxury houses in the world... you can't really go wrong.

##Wir kreieren die weichsten Kaschmirprodukte, indem wir die seltenen, feinsten Fasern (Grad A) von den Unterbäuchen mongolischer Ziegen gewinnen. Aufgrund der dramatischen Temperaturschwankungen in den weiten Ebenen der Mongolei haben Hircus-Ziegen ein wunderschönes, flaumiges Untervlies entwickelt. Jeden Frühling werden nur etwa 250 Gramm dieses Vlieses von jedem Tier gewonnen, und nachdem die gröberen, kürzeren Fasern herausgefiltert wurden, bleiben weniger als 100 Gramm der wunderschönen langen und feinen Grad-A-Faser übrig. ##So what does it all lead to? Mass production using low-grade cashmere has only strengthened the case for the true, grade A, highly crafted woven product. The Italians are easily offended when it comes to the conversation about who makes the best Cashmere in the world. It has often been an up and down battle with the Scots for top spot, however when the conversation comes to the blended items... there really is only the one winner. It comes down to their ability to not only pick out the finest fibers but recognize the relationship between the two during the weaving the process.
