Why we chose them
Conceria La Veneta was founded in 1961 by Franco Piran, in a small warehouse on the edge of Arzignano — the town at the centre of the Veneto tanning district, the largest in Europe for bovine leather. More than sixty years on it is still a family tannery, and still doing essentially one thing: calf and baby-calf, tanned and finished to show off the natural grain, for the best shoe factories in Italy, France and Spain. It is a full-cycle house — they control the hide from raw to finished — and they carry the certifications that now matter almost as much as the leather itself: Leather Working Group, ISO 9001 and 14001, and UNI EN 16484 traceability. For a clean, precise calfskin with a tight grain and an even finish, they are exactly the kind of specialist we look for.
