Named after Abebe Bikila, the famed Ethiopian runner who won the 1960 Olympic Marathon barefoot, the Abebe is cut from a single sheet of Jet Black Japanese acetate by renowned manufacturer Takiron Rowland — perhaps the most classic of all colourways and one of the mainstays in our collection. Its squared lenses and distinctive bridge create strong, architectural lines that suit those with rounder faces, while the deep, glossy black finish lets the frame's geometry do the talking. Each pair is shaped in Sabae, Japan over six weeks and more than 200 manual processes.
