Named after Abebe Bikila, the famed Ethiopian runner who won the 1960 Olympic Marathon barefoot, the Abebe in Sahara draws its warmth from a single sheet of honey-and-amber Japanese acetate by Takiron Rowland, its darker brown striations giving the frame an earthy, layered depth that shifts subtly in different light. The squared lenses and architectural bridge create strong lines that complement rounder faces, while the warm tones soften the overall look. Each pair is shaped in Sabae, Japan over six weeks and more than 200 manual processes.
