In Scratched Black, the Japanese acetate from Takiron Rowland carries a subtly textured, almost weathered finish — darker and more understated than the glossy Jet Black, with a tactile quality that adds quiet character to the round silhouette. It reads as black from a distance and reveals its texture up close. The Clive is a circular frame with a curved bridge, suited to those with smaller features. Handcrafted in Sabae, Fukui, Japan, by Takumi master craftsmen — each with over 30 years of experience — every frame is cut from a single sheet of Japanese acetate sourced from Takiron Rowland. Over 200 manual processes across six weeks produce a frame with the flexibility and durability that acetate is known for. Slimmer temples keep the profile subtle.
