In a city teaming with leather makers and sellers, it can be hard to find the best of the best. That’s because many shops and traders benefit from Florence’s world renown for excellence in leather tanning and craftsmanship, even though they sell a low grade or imitation product. Luckily, we stumbled across Daniele’s workshop on a summer evening as we were walking back from Santa Croce Square. It was the smell that caught our attention- we knew we had found something special. With a family history in leather craftsmanship, Daniele honours the traditional methods of making which Florence is revered for. Put simply- a Florentine product, made of leather sourced in Tuscany, hand-stitched by Florentine masters. The real thing, start to finish.

A heavy, solid brass filled buckle covered in palladium guarantees a lasting shine, while only the finest leather from Tuscany is used on the outer and inner strip. A three-step hand-cutting process ensures each section is made to fit together effortlessly. And our craftsmen wouldn’t have it any other way.

A poorly stitched buckle will come off after a few wears, and if it’s made of cheap metal it can dullen quickly. A belt may seem a simple thing, but hours of care and careful craftsmanship ensure ours is the only belt you’ll ever really need.
