Through multiple iterations and community feedback—including detailed reviews by Rose Anvil—we've continuously refined the design toward our goal of creating the world's best minimalist sneaker.
Its predecessor, the **[SF-01v3](https://www.archibaldlondon.com/**/collection/product/the-sf-01-v3-sneakers-in-suede--mustard-w-gum-sole)**, marked a significant milestone: production moved to Corridonia, Italy, incorporating all learnings from previous releases with upgrades including a full-grain leather floorboard, improved lining materials, and a refined heel silhouette for a more captured fit.
**The SF-01 v3.5** takes this proven foundation one step further. We've replaced the cushioned insole with a natural coconut fiber insole with leather lining - an upgrade we believe delivers superior performance for daily wear. Coconut fiber offers exceptional breathability, natural moisture-wicking properties, and antibacterial benefits that synthetic cushioning cannot match. Unlike foam-based insoles that compress and lose their structure over time, coconut fiber maintains its integrity while molding to your unique foot shape, improving comfort with every wear.
**The SF-01 v3.5 in Kangaroo Leather** offers something very different with the incredibly soft yet strong K-leather. Kangaroo leather is known for its incredible durability and resistance as well as the extreme comfort it offers. This one is difficult to describe, it's just different.

Currently led by the granddaughter of the founder, it was clear from our first interaction that this team of masters fully understood our raison d'etre at Archibald and relished an opportunity to work with us and allow more people to experience the difference their expertise and craft can make in terms of end-product.

Kangaroo leather consists of fine collagen fibres that are concentrated, highly uniform and run parallel to the surface of the skin.These attributes give it a higher tensile strength than other skins, which is why motorcyclists seek it out when choosing their protective leathers. It's also uniquely airy on account of a thin grain layer and naturally low fat content, in addition to its lack of sweat glands and arrector pili muscles.
