Excellence in shoemaking has been an obsession and never-ending quest that has spanned three generations of this family. As skills are passed from generation to generation there is an insistence to remain in-touch with developments in technology to ensure that both worlds, old and new are always respected in order to achieve the highest quality, most comfortable and longest lasting purpose built shoes. Currently led by the granddaughter of the founder, it was clear from our first interaction that this team of masters fully understood our raison d'etre at Archibald and relished an opportunity to work with us and allow more people to experience the difference their expertise and craft can make in terms of end-product.

##A specially selected, uniquely soft yet durable Italian calfskin is meticulously hand-cut to form the upper, then stitched to a French-made Lactae Hevea sole. Specially selected, the calfskin provides an experience true to the ULTRALight range without sacrificing durability. The leather adapts immediately to the foot, offering instantaneous comfort while maintaining structure over time, and develops a subtle character with wear. Paired with the exceptionally lightweight and flexible Lactae Hevea sole, the result is a sneaker that balances everyday practicality with a distinctly elevated feel.

Design Note

In White, Green, and Gum Sole, the Divino takes on a sporty, vintage-leaning character — the clean white upper set off by green accents and a warm gum outsole that nods to classic court shoes of the 1970s. It's the most expressive colorway in the range, and the one that catches the light differently depending on the angle.

As our first expansion of the ULTRALight series, the Divino was built to be one thing above all: visually, unmistakably Archibald. Drawing on icons like the Nike Cortez and Onitsuka Tiger's Mexico 66, we set out to create an elevated interpretation of that timeless silhouette. Every lesson from developing the ULTRAlights and GATs has been channeled into this sneaker — the construction philosophy and purpose remain, but the result is a touch less minimal, more "Archi." The side overlay, reimagined as a subtle nod to our "A" motif, lends refined visual identity without overwhelming the design.

This colorway is crafted from premium Italian nappa calfskin, chosen for its smooth handle, durability, and graceful aging. Vegetable re-tanned to preserve color and structure, then finished with a French-made Lactae Hevea sole — delivering a sneaker that balances lightness, flexibility, and comfort with polished, long-term character.
