Why we chose them
When Mario Castricini founded Centro Accessori in Monte San Giusto in 1973, the idea was simple and, at the time, novel: give a shoe factory one place to buy everything that goes into a shoe that isn't the leather or the sole — laces, threads, eyelets, elastics, reinforcements, adhesives, waxes. Fifty years on it has grown from a single room into a 5,500 m² operation with supply centres across Poland, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, sitting at the centre of the Fermo–Macerata district, the heart of Italian shoemaking. What makes them more than a warehouse is the care they put into the small things. Their laces run from classic cotton to fashion fabrics, but the ones we care about are the waxed-cotton "C line" — made slowly and, by their own reckoning, among the best on the market. And because they run their own ACCREDIA-accredited testing lab, every component can be certified against the standards a modern shoe has to meet. Most brands never mention who made their laces. We would rather tell you.
